AddBy: Margaret Lee18th May 2020 5:44PMMy father Jack Charlton was a carpenter on the site when John Martins was built he did the wood paneling on the escalator aswell as the front of the serving counter in the Buttery on the first floor. I started working there the first time in June 66 and worked on the hosiery counter on the ground floor near the doors.
