George came from Birkenhead, Cheshire, England. When George Broster was 23 years old he married Elizabeth Chivell aged 18 years old. They married on the 23 July 1847 at Adelaide.
George and Elizabeth had the following children:-
Ann Maria was born on the 23 March 1848 at Peachey Belt. Married John Francis Billing
Eliza was born on the 8 December 1849 at Peachey Belt. Married John Lee
Thomas was born on the 6 September 1851 at Brompton. Married Ellen Rosina Argent 22 April 1875 at Zoar Chapel, Peachey Belt.
Mary Jane b. 13 Sept 1853 Peachey Belt. Married John Johnston
Ellen was born on the 20 April 1855 at Unley.
Emily Rose was born on the 12 September 1856 at Peachey Belt. Married Carslake
John Henry Maddock was born on the 10 March 1860 at Peachey Belt. Married Elizabeth Harrison
Matilda was born on the 28 December 1861 at Peachey Belt. Married William Lee
Martha Alice was born on the 6 March 1864 at Peachey Belt.
George was born on the 5 Jan 1867 at Peachey Belt.
Edith Annie was born on the 4 Feb 1871 at Peachey Belt.
Walter Samuel was born on the 18 June 1873 at Peachey Belt.
William Alfred was born on the 4 March 1875 at Peachey Belt.
George died on the 25 June 1901 at Peachey Belt, aged 78 years old and his wife Elizabeth died on the 2 July 1893 at Peachy Belt aged 65 years old. They are both buried in Zoar Bible Christian Cemetery.
When Walter Samuel was 21 years old he married Elizabeth Ann Boundy aged 23 years old. They married on the 14 August 1894 at the Primitive Methodist Manse, Norwood. Walter and Elizabeth had the following Children:-
Leslie was born on the 9 October 1894 at Adelaide.
Clarence Wilfred was born on the 12 April 1896 at Peachey Belt.
Unfortunately Elizabeth Ann died at the age of 27 on the 10 December 1898 at Broken Hill, NSW. Three years later, Walter remarried to Robina Watson Balfour on the 27 February 1901 at Broken Hill, NSW. Walter and Robina had the following children:-
Cecil Herbert Bridon was born on the 15 November 1901 at Broken Hill.
Ruby May was born on the 6 October 1903 at Broken Hill.
Harold George was born on the 20 November 1905 at Broken Hill.
Ivy Phyllis was born on the 31 July 1912 at Broken Hill.
Walter Samuel died on the 10 October 1930 at Broken Hill aged 57 years old and his wife Robina Watson died on the 27 January 1925 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital aged 54 years old.
Clarence Wilfred moved to Broken Hill, NSW soon after he was born. From 1934 to 1936 he was living with his half siblings Harold George, Ruby May and Ivy Phyllis at 515 Blende Street, Broken Hill. His occupation was a Mullocker until 1935 he then was a Plateman. In 1937 Harold left.
When Clarence was 43 years old he enlisted in 1939 at Broken Hill. His next of kin was his half Sister Ruby May Broster. Regrettable as it seems his records were “not yet examined”.
In 1954 he was living with Ruby May at 517 McGowan Street, Broken Hill and he was still employed as a Plateman. Ruby May died on the 17 June 1962 aged 59 years old. In 1977 He was still living at the same address and at the age of 81 years he was still working as a Plateman.
Clarence died on the 29 April 1979 at Broken Hill aged 83 years old. He is buried in Broken Hill Cemetery in the same grave as his half Sister Ruby May.
