Alfred Norman Barker

Samuel was born in 1812 in Kimbalton, Huntingdonshire.  Samuel married Hannah Norman when he was 22 years old and Hannah was 20 years old, they married on the 10 July 1834. They arrived in South Australia on the 23 August 1849 on board the Eliza  They had the following children:-

               Ann was born on the 26 May 1831 at Riseley, Bedfordshire, England.

               John was born c1835 at Riseley. Bedfordshire, England.

               George was born c1838 at Riseley, Bedfordshire, England.

               Alfred Norman was born on the 19 June 1841 at Coggshall, Essex, England.

               William was born c1845 at Risely, Bedfordshire, England.

               Hannah was born c1849 at Risely, Bedfordshire, England.

               Thomas was born c1852 at risely, Bedfordshire, England.

Samuel died on the 2 August 1895 at Virginia and his wife Hannah died on the 5 December 1893 at Port Gawler.  They are both buried in Angle Vale Carclew Primitive Methodist Cemetery.

Alfred Norman Barker who was born on the 19 June 1841 at Coffeshal, Essex, England. 

When Alfred Norman was 24 years old he married Mary Ann Stevens aged 20 years old.  They were married on the 8 October 1865 at the residence of Samuel Barker of Walkerville.  They had the following children:-

               Alice was born on the 11 June 1866 at Peachey Belt.

               Annie was born on the 9 March 1868.

               Susannah was born on the 16 May 1870 at Walkerville.

               Alfred James was born on the 8 Jan 1873 at Peachey Belt.

               Thomas was born on the 12 Oct 1874 at Peachey Belt.

               Frederick was born on the 16 Nov 1876.

               Martha was born on the 4 May 1879 at Peachey Belt.

               Frank was born on the 27 Dec 1880 at Peachey Belt.

               Elizabeth was born on the 6 March 1882.

               Samuel Norman was born on the 17 Dec 1884 at Walkerville.

               Eva Ruth was born on the 22 Feb 1889.

               Emma was born on the 10 Oct 1890 at Penfield.

Alfred Norman died on the 5 January 1915 at Penfield aged 73 years old and his wife Mary Ann died on the 8 March 1921 at Penfield aged 75 years old.  They are both buried in the Zoar Bible Christian Cemetery, Penfield.

When Alfred James was 26 years old he married Edith Emma Hatcher aged 23 years old.  They married on the 12 April 1899 at the Zoar Bible Christian Church, Penfield.  They had the following children:-

               Emily Irene was born on the 14 Feb 1900 at Virginia.

               Alfred Charles was born on the 25 Jan 1901 at Smithfield.

               Stella Evelyn was born on the 24 June 1902 at Peachey Belt.

               Edward John was born on the 25 April 1904 at Gawler Plains.

               Ida Edith was born on the 5 June 1905 at Smithfield.

               Leonard Herbert was born on the 15 Oct 1907 at Smithfield.

               Kenneth Richard was born on the 7 Sept 1909 at Gawler Plains.

               Mona Lilias was born on the 3 May 1911 at Gawler Plains.

               Angas Bert was born on the 21 Nov 1914 at Gawler.

Alfred James died at Virginia on the 27 Jan 1943 aged 70 years old and his wife Edith Emma died at Virginia on the 18 Nov 1922 aged 46 years old.  They are both buried in Angle Vale Cemetery.
