Thomas Trousen Teague a native of Phillack, Cornwall, England was born on the 7th January 1825. He was the second son of Martin Teague and Ann Trousen. He was first employed in milling and farming until 1846 when he sailed to South Australia in the ship Aberton, landing in December of the same year. He was employed in Adelaide for a few months but was obliged to leave there on account of his ill health. From here he went to the copper mine at Reedy Creek where he remained for three years. In 1850, Thomas went to California goldfields and was successful there, he returned to the colony after twelve months again due to ill health.
He returned to Reedy Creek where he remained until January 1852 when the Victorian gold fields beckoned. He returned in December after some success. He was then engaged in carting in Adelaide for twelve months before starting farming on the Gawler Plains, Peachey Belt and Salisbury in 1854. He purchased 240 acres of land at Peachey Belt, comprising sections 3242, 4035 and 4039. Thomas also had 405 acres of land at Virginia, sections 7574, 7575, 7576, 3063.
He farmed in these areas for about twenty years before selecting 640 acres of land in the Hundred of Napperly. He cropped half of the land, the other was for grazing.
He married on the 18th August 1846 to Christiana Jewell. Christiana died on the 4th October 1863, aged 39 of dropsy. They had two sons and six daughters.
He married for a second time to Mrs Elizabeth Turner nee Rowe and then again to Mrs Agnes Stevens formerly of England who arrived in Sydney in 1839.
He married Elizabeth Turner nee Rowe in Galwer River on 11 August 1864. Elizabeth had three sons and two daughters. They had four children during their married. Elizabeth died on January 25th, 1881.
He married for the third time to Agnes Stevens nee Lawrence in Redhill on 22 January 1884, when he was 59 years old. Agnes born in Mylor Parish, Cornwall in 1813. She arrived in Australia in 1837 with her husband William Stevens. They kept a store in Rundle Street before following farming pursuits on the Gawler plains. Agnes and William had five children together. After their marriage to Thomas they resided in Napperby for nine years before moving to Adelaide.
Agnes passed away on the 16th May at their residence in Roebuck street, West Adelaide. She was aged 89 years. Thomas passed away four days later, at home apparently sitting in a chair waiting for the family to return from Agnes funeral as he had been too unwell to attend. The cause of death was heart failure.

Thomas Henry married Annie Munro in 2nd March 1889, they had one son, Gordon. He was a member of the Agricultural Bureau and a deacon and treasurer of Baptist Church. He in interred in the family grave at West Terrace Cemetery.
