The Elizabeth Repertory Company (ERC) was founded in 1960 based on the old Elizabeth Drama Group that had been created by Howell Witt and supported by the Gawler Adult Education College. At first their headquarters was the ‘Studio’ until the Elizabeth Civic Theatres were constructed, when the Shedley became home for many performances.
The ERC regular performed in the Eisteddfod and built floats for the Elizabeth Birthday celebrations. The company put on workshops and acting courses for the general public to attend. ERC acquired a shed in Elizabeth Vale that they used in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
